Childs play review - first review

Hello, and welcome back to Addicting veggie dip, I've decided that since it is in the month of october, i could start off by reviewing an classic 80's horror - Child's play   !

The film focused mainly about a serial killer who cheats death and turns into a Good Guy doll.
This doll is obtained by six year old andy on his birthday. and that's when the 'mayhem' starts

Now, I am personally a classic horror fan...  but I also am more looking forward to be scared by the suspense and anticipation, if you're a guts and gore kind of person, I wouldn't reccomend this to you completely,  (there is a fine line between Child's Play, and new horror, Dead Silence, Saw, etc...)
Chucky, the killer doll, starts out innocent looking, but watching the film you will see that his facial features will slowly get more distinct and realistic...

Anyway... where i left off, Chucky pushed the babysitter out out a window in a big building. the police suspect it to be Andy. Andy explains that Chucky killed her, obviously the police aren't buying it....
chucky goes and kills the cop who interviewed andy who is also evidently the one who killed chucky's human form of Charles Lee Ray. Chucky attacks cop, Mike Norris, and then gets shot at his shoulder, where he starts bleeding, this confuses Chucky, because he was under the impression that he was immortal. So he visits the man who taught him voodoo, John, A.K.A. Dr. Death. he goes to find out why he was bleeding, to find that he was turning into a human, in doll form. and he finds out that the only way for him to become human again is if he takes over the soul of the first person he revealed himself to be human to, which would be andy, he stabs John and runs out of his house. after trying to capture andy. Karen (andy's mother) goes to John's house to find out where chucky is, to find out that chucky is after Andy and that the only way to kill the demonic doll, would be by killing him, in the heart...
I have decided not to talk about the ending, where it gets very interesting! because I particularly enjoyed this movie and i think any true horror fan should watch this without having to have been spoiled by a movie spoiler (nasty spoilers) anyway, if you want to find out more about the plot go to IMDB because i am not one to spoil movies...

I would rate this movie 3.5 stars out of 5

This is the beggining  to a trilogy. the 4th and 5th movie are comedy's

Rating: R

There is some harsh language in two scenes

Blood 2/5

Besides the R rating i think that you should be at least over 11/12ish if you want to see this,

suspense 4.5/5

If you want to be scared, this is a great movie, it's not the type of scare that will keep you up all night, but it is definitely worth watching
